Heung-min Son reacts to miss v Honduras in Olympic Games quarter-final
Tottenham Hotspur’s current in-form star is undoubtedly Heung-min Son, but not everyone is over the moon with the 24-year-old.
His international boss at South Korea has been criticising him this week, as reported by Freie Presse.
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been very happy with the performances of Son so far this season. He scored the winning goal in the Champions League last night as Spurs defeated CSKA Moscow in Russia.
Uli Stielike
His goal was his fifth in five games for Spurs this season after struggling in his first term at the club.
But he has recently struggled with his country. The ‘David Beckham of Korea’ has been criticised by his national team coach Uli Stielike for his off-field antics which has seen him show some moments of tempestuousness when playing for the Jeonbuk Warriors. Stielike stated:
“His behavior off the pitch could be problematic. The many people have seen in the stands and on TV.
“I have to think of the entire team all the players have to be careful.”
Tottenham’s Son Heung-min scores their first goal
Despite the criticism the Dutchman has handed Son a place in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Qatar and Iran next month.
Son, who very nearly left Tottenham in the summer for VfL Wolfsburg, will now be hoping to turn his form at White Hart Lane into success with the South Korea national team.
