- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Arsenal and Manchester United could miss out on the signing of AC Milan forward Francesco Camarda, HITC understands.
Francesco Camarda is one of the best young prospects in Italian football and has already made his debut for AC Milan in Serie A despite being just 16 years of age.
Arsenal and Manchester United want to sign Francesco Camarda
Camarda’s potential has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.
The forward is eligible to sign his first professional contract with Milan having just turned 16, and the Italian club were hoping that they could announce the deal this week.
HITC revealed in February that a deal was all but agreed and Milan believed they had held off the competition to land his signature on a long-term deal.
That still may very well be the case, but the Rossoneri now look set to have to wait until the summer to find out.
Post-Brexit rules problematic regarding Francesco Camarda
Sources have told HITC that Camarda has offers from a host of clubs to leave Milan, and that includes Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United – all of whom want him.

However, post-Brexit rules mean that like when signing South American players, the Premier League clubs must wait for Camarda to turn 18.
This means that if Camarda accepted an offer from England, then he could not move until 2026.
That is a boost to Milan’s hopes, however, Camarda can move within the European Union – which is where his other suitors come in, namely Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, who are all keen on securing his services.
Milan are second in the Serie A table at the moment with 59 points from 28 matches. They are 16 points behind leaders and city rivals Inter Milan.
