- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Jesse Lingard is about to travel to South Korea to sign for FC Seoul after a disappointing spell at Nottingham Forest, HITC Football understands.
Lingard is a free agent at the moment, having been released by Nottingham Forest at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old attacker signed for Forest on a free transfer in the summer of 2022 after being released by Manchester United.
Former Nottingham Forest player Jesse Lingard about to join FC Seoul
Lingard, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger and had a good loan spell at West Ham United in 2021, failed to make a huge impact at the City Ground.
The Englishman made 12 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Forest last season. He did not score a goal or provide an assist.

Sources have now told HITC Football that Lingard is on the verge of signing for K League 1 club FC Seoul.
Lingard is due to fly to South Korea on Monday to finalise a shock and bizarre move to FC Seoul.
The former West Ham United loanee held talks with clubs in England, Scotland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the USA in the last few weeks.
However, he has decided to make the move to South Korea now. Lingard has been offered a two-year contract by FC Seoul and terms have been agreed in principle.
Jesse Lingard has so much more to offer
It is a very shocking and strange move. Jesse Lingard is only 31 now and has a lot to offer.
The former Manchester United forward has not had the best of times in recent times, but he is still good enough to play for a club in the middle to lower ranks in the Premier League or for a top team in Scotland.
