Luton Town ace Ryan Giles is heading back to the Championship with Hull City now on the verge of signing the former Wolverhampton Wanderers ace.
Hull City have agreed a deal with Luton Town to take left-back Ryan Giles on loan, sources have confirmed to HITC Football.
Giles joined Luton from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer for £5million after an impressive season on loan with Middlesbrough.
But now Luton are willing to let him leave on loan with an obligation on the Humberside club to make the move permanent in the summer.
Ryan Giles to Luton Town hasn’t worked out
Giles was simply outstanding last season, racking up 11 assists in 47 games during his time on loan at Middlesbrough.
A flying left wing back who proved his ability going forward, Giles was in demand as Wolves made it clear that he could leave permanently.
Luton pounced after their promotion to the Premier League, finally giving Giles a top-flight chance after five EFL loan spells.
Sadly for Giles, the move hasn’t really worked out; he has managed just five league starts this season with Alfie Doughty nailing down the left wing back spot at Kenilworth Road.
The 23-year-old now wants first-team football and seems ready to head back to the Championship as Hull gear up for a promotion push.
Hull add another quality signing
Hull currently sit seventh in the Championship table, just one point away the playoff places.
Liam Rosenior is doing a great job at the MKM Stadium and have already added real quality during this January transfer window.
Liverpool loanee Fabio Carvalho is the main attraction and has already scored a winning goal since joining the Tigers.
Billy Sharp adds Championship experience and goalkeeper Ivor Pandur impressed in the Eredivisie with Fortuna Sittard before heading to Hull just a few days ago.
Add in a proven Championship left back in Giles and Hull are really going for the top six this season, backing Rosenior with a handful of impressive signings.
