Graeme Souness has raved about Wolverhampton Wanderers winger and reported Liverpool target Adama Traore in The Times.

The Liverpool legend has said that Traore intrigues him, and has stated that the former Aston Villa winger has improved.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool are interested in signing the 24-year-old winger from Premier League rivals Wolves this summer.

Souness wrote about Traore in The Times: “Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez would walk into anybody’s team, they are too good to be sitting on the bench anywhere in the Premier League, but the one that intrigues me is Traore.

“These players are like a jigsaw, there’s always a part missing, but Traore has improved and let’s hope he keeps improving because he gets you on the edge of your seat when in full flight.”

Stats

According to WhoScored, Traore has made 22 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for Wolves so far this season, scoring four goals and providing seven assists in the process.

The winger has also made five starts and three substitute appearances in the Europa League for the Wanderers this campaign, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

The former Barcelona prospect made eight starts and 21 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Wolves during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Liverpool do have a very good attacking unit, but someone of Traore’s power, strength and quality will make the Reds even better.
