Graeme Souness has criticised Tottenham Hotspur duo Serge Aurier and Davinson Sanchez in The Times.
The Sky Sports pundit, who failed to make his mark at Tottenham but turned on the style at Liverpool, is not too impressed with Spurs right-back Aurier and central defender Sanchez.
Souness has said that Ivory Coast international right-back Aurier gets caught out of position, and believes that 24-year-old Colombia international centre-back Sanchez is “another accident waiting to happen”.
Souness wrote in The Times: “With Serge Aurier at right back, you just don’t know what you’re going to get.
“Too often he’s caught out of position with the ball sailing over his head. Davinson Sanchez comes into the same category; another accident waiting to happen, and it looks like Jose has made his mind up on him.”
Stats
Aurier has made 22 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham so far this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
The former Paris Saint-Germain right-back has also scored one goal and provided two assists in five Champions League games for Spurs this campaign, according to WhoScored.
As for Sanchez, he has made 21 starts and one substitute appearance in the league, and has played five times in the Champions League for the North London outfit this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Tottenham will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League.
