Graeme Souness disrespectfully claimed Kieran Trippier would walk into Manchester United’s first team.

Kieran Trippier put in a terrific performance for Tottenham against Watford at the weekend and attracted plenty of plaudits.
One pundit who potentially took it too far was Graeme Souness, who claimed Trippier would walk into both Manchester club’s XIs.
He told Sky Sports: “Kieran Trippier would definitely get in the Manchester United or Manchester City teams. He has outstanding qualities. Trippier has as much quality going forward as any Premier League full-back right now.”
Manchester City have had trouble at right-back all season with winger Jesus Navas even selected in the position.
Manchester United on the other hand, have an established right-back already, with Antonio Valencia excelling there this season for the Red Devils.

Formerly a winger himself, Valencia played at right-back under Louis van Gaal and has made the position his own under Jose Mourinho, and looks better than ever.
Valencia’s fitness has allowed him to get up and down the flanks with ease, and has made 25 Premier League starts this season.
Even at the age of 31, Valencia looks like he has several seasons left in him, an SkySports asked just last month if the Ecuadorian is in fact the best right-back in the Premier League.
