Graeme Souness has told Super Sunday that he believes Tottenham Hotspur will make the top four if Gareth Bale, Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son start every game between now and the end of the season.

Since Bale has joined Tottenham, the trio have barely ever been seen together during matches.

However, Mourinho finally unleashed Tottenham’s three most high-profile attackers in the same team and it worked to devastating affect.

Spurs picked up a 4-0 win over Burnley, with Bale and Kane both getting on the scoresheet.

And Souness feels that Spurs could mount a charge for the Champions League spots if Kane, Bale and Son continue to start, but he doubts they will be able to play every game.

“With Spurs they are not strong enough in certain areas and when Bale went back there I thought that three up-front could score their way into the top four, I still think the same,” he said.

“If you can get Bale fit and motivated. If you could guarantee me Son, Bale and Kane playing every game between now and the end of the season I would say they get in the top four but that won’t happen.”

Tottenham’s win over Burnley means that they now sit six points behind the top four with a game in hand.

Mourinho’s side’s next two games come against Fulham and Crystal Palace, and if they can win them both, then the North London side’s chances of breaking back into the Champions League qualification spots will certainly start to look much improved.
