Caleb Ekuban was upstaged by a former Leeds United striker during his latest appearance out on loan.

With Leeds facing Nottingham Forest in the Championship this weekend, the Elland Road faithful were given another reason to watch Souleymane Doukara’s stunning volley against the same opposition in January 2017.
It was unquestionably the high point for the forward, who now plies his trade in Turkey having left the club during Thomas Christiansen’s tenure.
He may no longer be a Leeds player, but on the weekend that Forest travelled to Yorkshire again, Doukara – who cost Leeds £2 million (via Daily Mail) – managed to overshadow another forward who was his teammate for a couple of months and actually remains on the Whites’ books.
Caleb Ekuban’s loan spell at Trabzonspor is not exactly going to plan. A goal on his debut remains the only time he has found the back of the net. He is also yet to start for his current side.

Trabzonspor took on Doukara’s Antalyaspor looking to move above them in the Turkish top flight. However, they could only secure a point – and Doukara played a key role in the result.
The forward smashed home a stunning long-range effort in the early stages, while Ekuban only managed to get onto the field in stoppage-time at the end of the second-half in the 1-1 draw.
It is too soon to suggest that Ekuban’s Leeds career can be written off, but the signs are currently not looking good. And the impact that a former Whites forward made against his current team probably has not helped his situation.
