Yaya Toure wrote on Twitter that Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is doing ‘great’ in his boyhood colours.

The Premier League legend initially apologised to Villa’s ball-carrier after he replied late to a previous tweet from the Englishman.

On May 7, Grealish wrote on Twitter about making his Villa debut seven years on that day against Manchester City where he was run ragged by a certain Toure.

Grealish, who came on as a late substitute, wrote that he spent 7 minutes just ‘chasing’ the box-to-box Premier League winner.

And it seems as though Toure saw that message a little late and apologised for responding now and had this to say:

There’s no doubt that Grealish’s stock in English football is rising and he will be expected to get that plane ticket for Euro 2020.

Many English fans would like to see the expert creator start, as England will be one of the favourites for the delayed European Championships next month.

But given that Grealish created the second most chances from open play this season, and he missed 13 Premier League games, then it just goes to show the talent he has in his boots.
