Gabriel apologised to Willian on his Instagram story after humiliating his Arsenal teammate in training on Monday.
The defender posted a short clip of the Arsenal players in a mini-game of football in training yesterday, with Gabriel nutmegging the winger as he tried to knick the ball off him.
Gabriel posted the clip on his Instagram story before simply writing ‘sorry’ added with a laughing emoji.
In the clip, there was some quick feet movement from the centre-back, who channelled his inner-Gabriel Martinelli to outfox his teammate.
It is supposed to be Willian who should be nutmegging the defender, not the other way around.
But whilst Willian used to showcase his tricks during his days at Stamford Bridge, he hasn’t been able to replicate any of that form at the Emirates.
He is yet to score a goal for Arsenal this season, and even though he arrived on a free transfer, Willian will go down as one of the flops of the season.
Unless, the Brazilian turns it around in spectacular fashion during these last few weeks, such as helping Arsenal lift the Europa League, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if many of the supporters would want the club to part ways with the player in the summer.
