Liverpool have gotten off to an absolutely torrid start this season.
Aside from their 9-0 win against Bournemouth, the Reds have been utterly unconvincing in every single match they’ve played this term, and their poor start continued on Wednesday night with a 4-1 loss to Napoli.
So many questions are being asked about this Liverpool team right now, and one pundit has even questioned the future of Jurgen Klopp.
The German has only recently signed a new contract to stay with the Reds until 2026, but according to Fabrice Muamba he could be leaving soon.
Indeed, the pundit tweeted during Wednesday’s game that he can see Klopp taking a sabbatical soon – just as he did when the wheels fell off at Borussia Dortmund under his management.
Muamba says that he could see Klopp taking a sabbatical soon, but we can’t agree with that point of view.
Yes, he left his Dortmund team when everything began to go wrong, but we’re a long way away from that with Liverpool.
Klopp has four years left to run on his contract, he’s loved by the fans, he’s going to be backed in the transfer window and he’s settled in the city.
The German may well be questioning things at Anfield right now, but it would take a lot more than an average start to the season for Klopp to give up on this Liverpool team just yet.
However, that isn’t to say that things don’t need to change at Anfield. This bad form needs to subside sooner rather than later or we may be discussing the possibility of the Reds not finishing in the top four this season.
