Joe Rodon has labelled Tottenham teammate Ben Davies as a ‘snake’ during a game of word association on Spurs’ YouTube channel.

Rodon was playing a game, along with Gareth Bale, where he had to write down the first thing that came to mind when a certain subject or person was brought up.

For example, when the subject ‘happy place’ came up, Bale predictably answered with ‘golf course’.

However, the pair were both asked to described Ben Davies using a single word, and while Bale decided to use the word ‘legend’, Rodon called him a ‘snake’.

“Do you remember the Twitch thing right, that’s revenge. Guys, obviously I love him, but I questioned our friendship in the last couple of days, and Sonny will back me up on this,” Rodon said,

Rodon and Davies must have had words about the left-backs recent comments on the club’s Twitch channel.

The pair are quite clearly good friends, being a part of the so-called ‘Welsh Mafia’ at Tottenham, and as with any good group of mates, they like to make fun of one another.

We’re sure that Rodon doesn’t actually think that Davies is a snake, and this was all said in good jest, but we can’t help but wonder what’s gone on behind the scenes with these two in the last couple of days to make Rodon question their friendship.

Perhaps Heung-min Son is the man to ask about that as Rodon says that he’d back him up on it.
