Daniel Sturridge has said on Twitter that he is shocked that teams are not lining up to sign Son Heung-min from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker has said that Tottenham forward Son is one of his favourite players in the world.

Sturridge has added that he thinks that the 29-year-old is a world-class footballer and is stunned that the South Korea international is still at Tottenham.

It is really great to see Sturridge praise Son so publicly. The Tottenham forward deserves it.

The 29-year-old has been superb for Spurs over the years and always does well.

In recent seasons, Son has developed his game and has become an important source of goals.

The attacker – who cost Spurs £22 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2015, according to The Guardian – has scored 72 goals in 200 Premier League appearances for Tottenham so far in his career.

The Tottenham no.7 gave 10 assists in the league last season and 10 in 2019-20.

Son has already scored two goals in three Premier League games for Spurs this season.

Regarding why clubs are not lining up for Son now, the reason is simple.

It was only in July that Son signed a new contract with Tottenham that will see him stay at the North London club until 2025.
