Gary Neville has said on his podcast that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno must have spoken to Son Heung-min at half time against Manchester City yesterday.
The former Manchester United defender has noted that Son was not taking shots in the first half, but the South Korea international forward changed that after the half-time interval.
It was actually the 29-year-old forward who scored the only goal of the Premier League game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It came in the 55th minute when Son found the back of the net with a low effort.
Neville said on his podcast: “Son in the first half had twice turned down the opportunity to drive at people and go and commit players.
“Looked like Nuno had a word with him and said, ‘Look. That front three, when you get in there in the box, just go for it, shoot whether it be on your left or your right foot’, and it was a feature.”

Big player for Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham’s two best players against City were right-back Japhet Tanganga and attacker Lucas Moura.
However, Son’s performance and importance against City cannot be undermined, especially as Harry Kane was not playing.
The 29-year-old has developed into an important source of goals for Spurs.

The Tottenham star scored 17 goals and gave 10 assists in the league last season, while in 2019-20, he scored 11 goals and gave 10 assists in the Premier League.
The South Korean has scored 71 goals in 198 appearances in the Premier League so far.
For Tottenham to have a successful season, Son will have to continue to bang in the goals.
