The Spurs forward believes no players is a safer bet from the spot than Kane.
Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min had claimed that teammate Harry Kane is a safer bet to score from the penalty spot than any other player in the Premier League, speaking to the club’s official website.
Kane scored his fourth penalty in the last five games in the 5-0 thrashing of Swansea City last weekend, to bring his total goal tally for the season up to eight from 11 games.
Kane has been prolific from the penalty spot in recent weeks, and speaking to the club’s official website, his Spurs teammate Son was quick to talk up the England striker’s abilities from 12 yards.

Son said: “It was the same against West Ham in the last home game – I thought for sure he would score. I’m very confident whenever he shoots from a penalty.
“I think that he’s the safest Premier League player to take a penalty. I didn’t see him missing and I’m very comfortable whenever I watch him shoot like that.
“I’m very happy for him as well because he had a long time out injured, he’s come back, everyone has helped him and he’s scoring a lot for the team so I’m really happy about that.”

Son may have a point. Since the start of the 2014-15 season, Kane has scored all 10 of the penalties he has taken in the Premier League, a total only beaten by Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
| Team | Att Pen Goal | Att Pen Miss | Appearances | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sergio Agüero | Man City | 12 | 0 | 75 |
| Harry Kane | Tottenham | 10 | 0 | 81 |
| Santiago Cazorla | Arsenal | 8 | 1 | 60 |
| Troy Deeney | Watford | 7 | 0 | 52 |
| Riyad Mahrez | Leicester | 7 | 0 | 81 |
| James Milner | Liverpool / Man City | 6 | 0 | 72 |
Though he missed a penalty in England’s pre-Euro 2016 friendly against Turkey in May, his last failure from the spot for Spurs was in February 2015 against West Ham.
