Tottenham have had something of a strange season so far.

They started brilliantly under Nuno Espirito Santo, winning their first three matches and sitting pretty at the top of the table, but it didn’t take long for the rot to set in.

Indeed, Spurs would then go on an awful run of form that culminated in Nuno getting the chop after less than six months in charge in north London.

Antonio Conte has since taken charge and the ship is slowly but surely steadying. Spurs are still within touching distance of the top four and if they get the January window right, they could make a real push for a Champions League place.

Spurs have had a tumultuous season thus far, but despite all of the carnage behind the scenes, one man has remained consistent on the pitch.

Indeed, Son Heung-min has once again been at his brilliant best, and, in our view, he’s on track to win the Tottenham Player of the Year award.

It’s hard to make a case against Son winning this award. He’s the club’s top scorer in the league, while only Sergio Reguilon can boast more assists.

As ever, Son’s game isn’t just about goals and assists, he’s also been one of Spurs’ most hard-working players and he’s seamlessly adjusted to both Nuno and Conte’s methods.

If Son is to win the Spurs Player of the Year award, that would represent the third time he’d received this accolade, and in doing so, he would make a bit of Spurs history.

Indeed, only one player in history has managed to win three Player of the Year awards at Tottenham – Robbie Keane, and Son could be on track to match Keane’s record.
