Son Heung-min comments after seeing Gareth Bale in training

Tottenham Hotspur winger Son Heung-min has told Football.London that he can’t wait to see Gareth Bale in regular action having seen him in training.

Son and Harry Kane have been in sensational form in the early part of this season, and Spurs have now added another exciting attacker to go with them.

Tottenham managed to bring Bale back to the club in September, landing him on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid having fallen out of favour in Spain.

The Welshman’s return didn’t exactly go well; he came on as a substitute with Spurs 3-0 up against West Ham United on Sunday, but the game ended in a 3-3 draw.

Bale missed a golden chance to seal the game, beating West Ham defenders before hitting a shot just wide of the post, with West Ham going on to grab an equaliser.

Bale may now start against LASK in the Europa League on Thursday night as he looks to build up his fitness, but he is already impressing Son.

Son has admitted that he can’t wait to play alongside Bale, branding him a ‘legend’ and a ‘superstar’, and you can see how happy he is to be back at Tottenham.

The South Korean added that he has seen Bale working hard at Tottenham as he doesn’t want to disappoint the fans, and is ‘really excited’ having seen how good he is in training.

“I’m so excited. To see him every day, to chat to him, it’s a really good experience for me and I think the fans can’t wait to see him back on the pitch,” said Son. “As a player, I can’t wait to play alongside him. Obviously, he is a legend for this club and a superstar in the football world. I think he is very happy and you can see straight away that he is smiling all the time.”

“When I’ve seen him, he’s been working hard. I don’t think he wants to disappoint the fans or his teammates so he’s working really hard. When he had his first training session with the group, I was doing other work, but I was watching him and even that was really enjoyable. Having seen him in training, I can’t wait to see him back out there. I’m really excited to play with him,” he added.
