Arsenal fans have been left very excited after Mikel Arteta hinted that the club were looking at doing ‘deals’ on transfer deadline day, to Football London.

Arsenal made a bright start to the transfer window this summer, with the likes of William and Gabriel arriving early on.

But their pursuit of a midfielder has stalled, with Arsenal’s squad still seemingly needing strengthening.

It is now expected to be a busy deadline day at Arsenal, and Arteta’s comments have left the club’s supporters very excited.

He said: “We know exactly what we want to do and we’re trying our best to finalise the deals we want.”

Arteta’s decision to pluralise the word ‘deal’ has caught the eye of many Arsenal supporters.

And they now feel that multiple additions could be made at the Emirates Stadium today.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the likes of Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey going into today’s deadline, but their chances of pulling off a deal for either now look slim.

The Gunners have at least started the season encouragingly, even if they haven’t landed as many transfers as they have wanted.

Arsenal have secured nine points from their first four games, heading into the international break.
