Jose Holebas of Watford and Modou Barrow compete for the ball
Leeds United’s poor streak of form continued on Saturday afternoon as they lost 1-0 at home to Reading, making it four defeats in five games for Thomas Christiansen’s side.
The Whites went into the game after two torrid performances before the international break, losing 3-1 at Cardiff City and 3-0 at Sheffield Wednesday, with manager Christiansen hoping a return to Elland Road would rejuvenate his team.
However, Leeds fell flat against Jaap Stam’s side, and despite their own poor form heading into the game, the Royals managed to snatch all three points.

Joey van den Berg’s late pass through the Leeds defences sent Modou Barrow through on goal, and the Gambian slid the ball home to give Reading the win at Elland Road.
Leeds fans were left frustrated with another poor performance, but most of their frustration was aimed at Reading winger Barrow after his winning goal.
The 25-year-old wide man spent the second half of last season on loan with Leeds as he reunited with his former Swansea boss Garry Monk, but he endured a miserable time at Elland Road, playing just five games whilst failing to register a goal or an assist.

Barrow’s first trip back to Elland Road saw him score though, and Leeds fans took to Twitter on Saturday night to share their anger at seeing the winger score against the club he struggled with.
Some fans feel that Barrow’s goal shows that there are major problems in the Leeds defence, whilst others simply rued Leeds’ luck, suggesting that it had to be Barrow, given that many players struggle with Leeds but impress when playing against them.
