Micky Gray has questioned the ‘fight’ of some Leeds United players after Marcelo Bielsa’s side lost 4-0 at Elland Road to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, speaking on talkSPORT.
The Whites have now lost their last four Premier League matches and are without a win in their last six. Heavy defeats to Everton, Manchester United, Liverpool and now Spurs after drawing 3-3 at Aston Villa has also seen the West Yorkshire outfit set an unwanted record.
Per Opta, Leeds are the first club in the Premier League era to concede 20 goals in a single month. They are also the first English top-flight side since Newcastle United in April 1986 to ship so many in a single month. The Magpies allowed 21 goals, but across all competitions.

Leeds’ latest loss leaves Bielsa’s men on the cusp of the drop zone and with the division’s worst defensive record. The Whites have now allowed a staggering 60 goals in 26 games so far this season. Only Norwich City (minus-40) have a worse goal difference (minus-31), too.
Gray questions the ‘fight’ of some Leeds stars after Tottenham loss
The display Bielsa’s side and system produced at home to Tottenham on Saturday shocked former Leeds defender Gray. He took particular aim at their leaky record through February, suggesting conceding so many goals while battling relegation is a sign for serious concern.
“What’s that, 20 goals in the last five games? There’s something not right,” Gray stated. “That’s not saying to me this is a team showing fight to stay in the Premier League.”

Leeds will desperately hope they can produce a response to recent results when they visit Leicester City next Saturday. The Whites won 3-1 at the King Power Stadium last term, and held the Foxes to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road earlier this season after leading in the first-half.
