William Gallas interestingly claimed on his Instagram story on Sunday that ‘something is still missing’ for Arsenal despite their 1-0 win against Manchester United.

In recent years, Arsenal’s record against the so-called big-six away from hope, and in particular their record at Old Trafford, has been pretty abject.

But over the weekend, they put that right when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s penalty ended years of heartache on the road against the so-called big boys for the Arsenal faithful.

Following that win, this is what Gallas posted on his Instagram story, as he congratulated them for the three points that they picked up.

“15 years that Arsenal hadn’t won at Old Trafford,” said Gallas. “Well done but something is still missing in these big games.”

Slowly but surely, the job Arteta is doing at Arsenal is now showing its true colours and showcasing to the world that he means business.

From winning the FA Cup towards the back end of last season to beating the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea – and now this – it has been some start to life in North London for Arteta.

But for Arsenal now it’s a case of adding consistency to their game and ensuring they make this result count by beating Aston Villa in their forthcoming match.
