Gary Neville has claimed that ‘something is bugging’ Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, as he told Webby and O’Neill YouTube channel.

The Sky pundit thinks ‘something’s not right’ at Liverpool, but he can’t work out what the issue is.

Liverpool have started off the season in a pretty healthy fashion, with two wins and a draw against Chelsea.

But whilst Chelsea, both Manchester clubs, Leicester and West Ham all beefed up their squads this summer, it was just the one major signing for those on Merseyside.

And after watching them in action recently, Neville is certain that something is wrong at Anfield.

“You can’t put your finger on it, but something’s not right,” said Nevile. “Not bad, there’s no some massive spirit issue or the manager has fallen out with the players. Nothing like that. But there is something just missing.

“They are not the team they were two years ago. They are a good team. They will go close in terms of they will be up there. There is something not right.

“Jurgen Klopp has been one of the happiest. In interviews, he is just a joy. He is a little bit narked by something. Something is bugging him. It could be me, you or Carragher.

“One of the things with Liverpool is that they don’t have the money other clubs have got. And he’s doing an unbelievable job with the resources there – at the moment, he may have wanted more support in the transfer market.

“He has seen what Chelsea have done. Man City have done and what we have done. And maybe thought ‘I wish I had that £150 million’ – there are no massive problems at Liverpool, I am not saying it’s broken, but I don’t think they have the momentum.”

Last season couldn’t have gone any worse for the Reds in terms of the injuries that hit their squad, especially in defence.

That area has been bulked up this summer with the arrival of Ibrahima Konate, but not the attack.

Whilst those in the front three don’t need to be replaced, they did need fresh faces this summer to add some much-needed depth and take some weight off their shoulders.

But whilst Chelsea brought back Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City broke the British transfer record and Manchester Unite re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo, it was a different story altogether for Klopp.
