Leeds United fans on Twitter are praising Christian Fuchs.
The Premier League winner was among the visiting Leicester City players who left Elland Road with an emphatic 4-1 victory on Monday night.
One Leeds star who courted criticism on the night was Luke Ayling.
The Whites’ right-back appeared to go to ground under minimal contact from Fuchs in the penalty area.
Darren Bent labelled Ayling’s attempt to win a penalty as ’embarrassing’ but the Leeds defender did not appeal for a spot-kick.
And although Fuchs has claimed on Twitter that it was indeed a ‘dive’, the Austrian says that Ayling was quick to apologise.
Here’s how fans of the West Yorkshire club have responded to the Foxes defender:
Diving aside, this was a surprising defeat for Leeds.
Manchester City had to settle for a point at Elland Road, whereas Premier League champions Liverpool needed a late penalty from Mo Salah at Anfield to see off Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
On this occasion it does certainly look like Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers out-foxed the legendary Argentine so to speak, but knowing Bielsa he will be determined to put things right in Saturday’s visit to Crystal Palace.
