Kevin Hatchard says ‘there is something exciting’ about Gift Orban amid claims that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur want to sign the Gent star.
The European football expert added on Twitter that if ‘Tottenham are patient’, then he thinks ‘they will get their reward’ in the long run.
But, as of this moment, Hatchard feels that Gift Orban is ‘pretty raw’, with Spurs looking to refresh their forward line following the departure of Harry Kane.
Only a few weeks remain before the 2023 summer transfer window slams shut and it has been suggested that talks to sign Orban will ‘accelerator’ during this coming week.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if, in typical Daniel Levy fashion, they are pilling in the names on transfer Deadline Day, because it has been a while since the Spurs chairman did that.
Either way, with the rumours around Orban, who is 21, this is what Hatchard had to say about the player.

“Gift Orban is pretty raw, but there’s something exciting about him,” said Hatchard.
“Fastest ever hat-trick in UEFA competition, and has developed rapidly since joining Stabaek. Moving to Belgium was a good step for him, but if #thfc could be patient, they’d get their reward.”
Orban fits Postecoglou’s style
Harry Kane is miles better than anyone Spurs will sign or will look to sign, but in truth, a player of Orban’s skill set suits Ange Postecoglou’s style better.
The simple reason being is that he has pace to burn, he is aggressive without the ball and over those five yards he has an explosion to his game that will frighten the life out of the opposition.
Someone like James Maddison is going to love playing with Orban because of his passing ability and how he sees passes others don’t, but most importantly, plays that early ball, which is what will make the duo very dangerous.
