Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has raved about Arsenal-owned Joe Willock on the club’s official Twitter page.

Willock joined Newcastle on loan from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old midfielder has established himself as an important player in the team and will play his role in the Magpies’ quest to avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.

According to WhoScored, the England Under-21 international has scored one goal in five appearances in the Premier League for the Magpies.

Newcastle manager Bruce has praised the youngster for the impact he has made at the Magpies.

Making an impression

Bruce seems to like how Willock is doing at the moment, and that bodes well for the youngster’s future at Arsenal.

This is a loan spell, and the 21-year-old will surely want to establish himself in the Arsenal first team in the long run.

Playing well for the Magpies in the coming weeks and helping the team stay in the Premier League will create a favourable impression on Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
