Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have spotted something interesting on Twitter.
The club’s official account has removed their pinned tweet.
Speculation of Mauricio Pochettino returning to Tottenham has been rife in recent days.
And some Spurs supporters believe that the removal of their most recent pinned tweet – which was about a new kit – is a sign that a managerial announcement may be on the way.
Genuine chance?
The Pochettino links seem very credible, it has to be said.
The Athletic reported last week that Tottenham have already held talks with the Argentine about coming back to North London, having been sacked in November of 2019.
Football London claimed on Tuesday that Pochettino told Paris Saint-Germain about his desire to return to Spurs last week.
The 49-year-old only joined the French giants in January of this year but failure to win the Ligue 1 title or Champions League has resulted in some criticism.
Former France international Frank Leboeuf described it as a ‘betrayal‘ that he wants to leave so soon, but it does that look way.
And it’ll be interesting to see if there’s a correlation between a managerial announcement and Tottenham removing their pinned tweet.
