Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly closing in on the signing of Jonny Castro.

The Celta Vigo full-back is set to join Atletico Madrid for around £6 million.

However, AS claims that the Spanish giants will loan him straight to Wolves for the 2018-19 campaign.

The 24-year-old would by no means be the most high-profile Wolves signing of what is shaping up to be a brilliant transfer window for Nuno Espirito Santo.

But it’s another experienced body through the door ahead of Wanderers’ Premier League adventure.

Here is how some fans of the Molineux club reacted to his seemingly imminent arrival:

The Spanish defender, whose contract at Celta expires next summer, has been with the Primera Division side for his entire career thus far.

It will be interesting to see how Nuno intends to use Jonny, who can play as a full-back or a centre-back.

So far, Wolves have signed nine players this summer, but that could rise by a few in the coming days amid rumours of other signings being on the way.
