Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have suggested an ambitious move for Wilfried Zaha after he helped his side leave Molineux with the three points.

A number of Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to laud Wilfried Zaha after the forward’s performance helped Crystal Palace beat Nuno Espirito Santo’s men 2-0 at Molineux on Wednesday night.
Wolves went into the clash with Roy Hodgson’s side off the back of a good run of form. Their only defeat in their previous six games came against Premier League leaders Liverpool, and in their previous fixture, they had stunned Tottenham by coming from a goal down to win 3-1 at Wembley.
However, it was a disappointing night for Nuno’s side this week. The game remained goalless until the final seven minutes of normal time when Jordan Ayew broke the deadlock.
Luka Milivojevic extended his lead at the top of Palace’s scoring charts this term by scoring a penalty in the 95th minute. It was a spot-kick that had been won by Zaha after he was fouled by Wolves defender Ryan Bennett.

And after the contest, plenty of supporters on social media either lauded Zaha or suggested that Wolves should make an ambitious move given they find themselves in the top-half of the table, still seven points clear of their latest opponents despite the defeat.
The London Evening Standard reported in the summer that Palace valued Zaha at £70 million, which would make a pursuit seem highly unlikely.
But given some of the statements that Wolves have made in the market in the last couple of years, perhaps it would be foolish to completely write off the idea of the club weighing up their options at some stage in the future, especially when strengthening their attacking options must be a priority.

Here is how some of the Wolves supporters reacted to Zaha’s display…
