Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for AS Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho.

According to The Guardian, Wolves – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – are interested in signing Moutinho from Monaco in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Wanderers have agreed a fee of £5 million with the Ligue 1 outfit regarding the transfer of the 31-year-old Portugal international midfielder.

The 31-year-old – who won the European Championship with Portugal in 2016 – has been on the books of Monaco since 2013 and is hugely experienced, having won league titles in Portugal and in France and has also played in the Champions League.

Moutinho is one of the best midfielders in Europe, and signing the Portuguese would be a real coup for Wolves.
