European giants FC Porto are reportedly in talks to lure West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate to Portugal this summer – and some Hammers fans are desperate to see the back of the Senegalese star.

Portuguese outlet O Jogo claim the 28-year-old is set to leave West Ham, and that Porto are in talks with West Ham over a move to buy the powerhouse midfielder.

Sky Sports report that Manuel Pellegrini’s side are willing to offload the midfielder this summer, though it is believed that Porto are unable to match West Ham’s £14million valuation of the former Anderlecht man.

Kouyate was a regular member of both Slaven Bilic and David Moyes’ side last season, missing just five of West Ham’s 38 Premier League outings throughout the 2017-18 campaign.

However, new manager Pellegrini seems willing to offload the midfielder, after completing the signing of Jack Wilshere on a free transfer from London neighbours Arsenal.

Some West Ham fans reacted to the news of Porto’s interest in Kouyate, with the majority of Hammers supporters urging their club to offload their number eight.
