Some West Ham fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that they’re in talks to sign Matheus Pereira from West Brom.
The Brazilian was fantastic last term in his debut Premier League season, and while he may have been relegated with the Baggies, he showed the league that he has what it takes to be a star at this level.
As you can imagine, Pereira has been linked with numerous Premier League clubs, such as Leeds United, but it seems as though West Ham are now in pole position to sign him.
Indeed, the Hammers are now in talks to bring Pereira in on an initial loan with an obligation to buy, in a deal that could be worth £25m.
The London club need a new attacking midfielder after Jesse Lingard returned to Manchester United, and it seems as though Pereira could be their man,
The Brazilian is certainly a talented player, netting 11 goals last season, and West Ham fans are rather excited by the prospect of bringing him to the club.
