West Brom have taken Everton defender Mason Holgate on loan.

West Bromwich Albion came so close to going level on points with Norwich City on Saturday afternoon, but could only draw 1-1 at The Hawthorns.
Norwich went into the game without a win in their last three games, and West Brom knew that a win would take them level on points with the Canaries.
West Brom impressed and took the lead on 12 minutes, as Dwight Gayle opened the scoring, with the departure of Harvey Barnes not exactly felt early on.
West Brom couldn’t kill the game off though, and they were made to pay as Jordan Rhodes snatched an 83rd minute equaliser to land a point for Norwich.
West Brom sit just three points off an automatic promotion spot, but this may have felt like a missed opportunity for many Baggies fans.
They were at least impressed with defender Mason Holgate, who was making his first Championship appearance since arriving on loan from Everton.

The 22-year-old started at right back, and whilst he picked up a yellow card, he produced an impressive performance in Darren Moore’s back line.
West Brom fans took to Twitter to praise Holgate, claiming he was ‘class’ and brought real attacking quality, calling him ‘outstanding’ and ‘the real deal’ – words that will also please everybody at Everton.
