West Bromwich Albion secured their first win of the new Championship season in a seven-goal thriller.

When West Brom were relegated from the Premier League last season, one of the key players that the majority of the Baggies supporters would have been desperate to keep hold of was Ahmed Hegazi.
The Egyptian enjoyed an impressive first season at The Hawthorns despite their relegation, and keeping hold of the centre-back past the first deadline in the English window appeared to provide something of a boost for Darren Moore’s side.
However, there are now plenty of supporters who would not mind seeing Hegazi attract some interest while the transfer window remains open across Europe, with many fans slating the 27-year-old’s display in the Baggies’ win over Norwich City on Saturday.
It was a dramatic game for Moore’s men as they looked to end their wait for their first win of the new season. Their fightback against Nottingham Forest was spirited, and they followed that up with another comeback at Carrow Road as Jordan Rhodes gave the home side the lead after 24 minutes.

Jay Rodriguez scored twice and Harvey Barnes continued the superb start to his loan spell to put the visitors 3-1 ahead before Norwich took advantage of some more questionable defending to halve the deficit.
West Brom would restore their two goal advantage through Hal Robson-Kanu before Grant Hanley set up a nervy finish by making the score 4-3 with eight minutes to go.

The Baggies would see out the contest and bag the three points. But the fans were still extremely disappointed with Hegazi’s display in the victory and have suggested that Craig Dawson’s potential return to the team probably can not come quick enough – though he was definitely not the only defender to disappoint.
Here is what some of the West Brom fans made of Hegazi’s display…
