West Bromwich Albion brought the Baggies academy graduate back to The Hawthorns this summer.

West Bromwich Albion ace Romaine Sawyers has not put a foot wrong since returning to The Hawthorns and ahead of the Baggies’ first Championship home game of the season, he has taken to Twitter with a message which has endeared him further to the Albion faithful.
At the end of July, the 27-year-old midfielder returned to the club where he came through the ranks, signing a three-year contract after being bought from Brentford – where he was captain – for an undisclosed fee reported to be £2.9 million (Express & Star).
Upon returning to West Brom, Sawyers stated that “this is the team that I have always wanted to play for”, and following his triumphant return to The Hawthorns, he went on to put in a good display in the 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest last week.
The Albion Twitter account praised the midfielder for his performance and asked him whether he enjoyed his debut, to which he replied by expressing his eagerness to finally represent the club at home, with the Baggies hosting Millwall at the weekend.
A number of West Brom fans on social media praised Sawyers for his attitude and expressed their eagerness to welcome him back to The Hawthorns:
Sawyers joined Brentford from Walsall in 2016 and made 123 appearances for the Bees, scoring eight goals, and was also linked with a switch to Celtic, according to Sky Sports News.
