Adkins left West Bromwich Albion’s Championship rivals, Hull City, on Saturday.

Some West Bromwich Albion fans fear Nigel Adkins could be the next Baggies manager.
Adkins resigned from his job as Hull City boss on Saturday, despite having led West Brom’s Championship rivals to a respectable 13th-place finish last season.
The 54-year-old’s Hull spell arguably helped to rebuild a reputation which had been damaged at previous clubs, Sheffield United and Reading.
Nevertheless, it would appear there are few of a West Brom persuasion who would welcome Adkins – promoted to the Premier League with Southampton eight years ago – to The Hawthorns.

Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
West Brom sacked Darren Moore as manager in March and have been linked with a succession of names since then.
However, it remains unclear which, if any, of those will be named Moore’s full-time successor.
Adkins began life as a physio at Scunthorpe United, but led the Iron to two promotions after stepping in as manager – initially on a temporary basis.
Would the former Hull City boss really be that bad an appointment for West Bromwich Albion?
