It would appear the form of Salomon Rondon is pleasing fans of West Bromwich Albion as much as it is those of Newcastle United.

Rondon has scored or assisted five goals in his last five games for Newcastle, to whom he is on loan from West Brom until the summer.

At this rate, it would be some surprise if the Magpies did not attempt to turn the striker’s deal into a permanent one.

And several of a Baggies persuasion have started seeing pound signs.

This is what they’re saying on Twitter…

Nevertheless, Rondon’s contract situation – he is understood to have one full season left at the Hawthorns – may result in an asking price that is lower than the one West Brom would have set under normal circumstances.

The Baggies paid around £15 million for the Venezuela international four years ago.
