Barry Douglas and Kalvin Phillips complimented one another on Instagram following Leeds United’s 3-1 win at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Phillips, who scored a wicked free-kick during the match, responded to Douglas’ message on Instagram after the game by stating ‘some wand that’ as he was referring to the Scotsman’s left-foot.

Douglas responded back to his teammate by saying ‘mine or yours?’. A number of Leeds fans also praised Douglas for his display, as other teammates responded with clapping emojis.

It was a much-needed three points for Leeds and another top-quality performance from their man in the middle, Phillips.

It could be argued that Douglas, who has been in and out of Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI this season, perhaps produced his best display of the campaign at Ewood Park.

Douglas is well aware of what it takes to earn promotion to the promised land because he did just that with Wolves a couple of seasons ago.

There’s no doubt that if he adds another promotion to his name with Leeds then this one will be much sweeter because of the size of the club he is helping bring back up.
