Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter aren’t happy about the reported transfer twist involving Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
The 22-year-old is heavily linked with a move away from Aston Villa this summer and wants to join Tottenham, according to The Daily Mail.
Villa’s valuation has been £30 million for much of the transfer window but The Mirror reported last week that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was adamant to get a deal done for less than £20 million.
The Mirror has now claimed that Tottenham’s “dithering” has backfired and that Grealish could be set to stay at Aston Villa after the club’s new owners blocked his departure.
There are 11 days left in the summer transfer window and the North Londoners are yet to sign a single player.
As a result, some fans of the Lilywhites are furious over the prospect of missing out on Grealish – and in particular are fuming with Levy.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side kick off their Premier League campaign on Saturday week with a trip to Newcastle United and fans will hope that Levy has signed quite a few players by then, as the window will have closed, but at this rate anything seems possible.
