One time Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho struggled on Friday.

Tottenham fans on Twitter have reacted to Paulinho’s latest performance for Brazil.
The former Tottenham midfielder started his country’s 2-1 World Cup quarter-final defeat by Belgium on Friday, but was unable to influence the game and was hauled off after 73 minutes.
Paulinho, who spent two years on Spurs’ books until 2015, also missed a good chance for the Selecao but fluffed his lines completely.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed a career resurgence over the past 12 months, having secured a big-money move to Barcelona from Guangzhou Evergrande last summer.
But his performance on Friday was the archetypal Tottenham-like display from the midfielder and here is how fans of the North London club reacted to his showing.

Tottenham haven’t missed Paulinho in the slightest. Despite being at Barcelona, the Brazilian wouldn’t make Mauricio Pochettino’s best XI if, hypothetically, he was still in North London, and that is very much testament to the Argentine himself.
