Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are loving the look of Oliver Skipp.

Skipp impressed in Spurs’ clash with Barcelona in the United States this morning as Mauricio Pochettino’s side came from two goals down to draw 2-2.

The young midfielder is still only 17 and has already made waves in Tottenham’s Under-23 side last season.

The Guardian have previously named him as the next star to come out of the North Londoners’ academy.

And some Tottenham fans on Twitter are certainly going along with that after his latest outing.

It’ll be interesting to see if Pochettino keeps Skipp in the senior side this season – and he might have to.

Victor Wanyama is injured at the moment and the Kenyan’s absence means that Skipp and Eric Dier are Pochettino’s only recognised defensive midfielders.

At 17, it would be a pretty big shock if he’s in Spurs’ Premier League squad on a regular basis this season, but he certainly didn’t do his chances any harm at all with that showing against the Catalans.
