Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation regarding Willian Jose.

According to Calciomercato.it, Tottenham are interested in signing Willian Jose from Real Sociedad in the summer transfer window.

The report in the Italian publication has claimed that Spurs could make an offer between €20 million (£18.38 million) and €25 million (£22.98 million) for the 28-year-old striker.

Spanish publication Eldesmarque.com has also claimed of interest in the Brazilian from Spurs, who need to sign a new striker this summer, as head coach Jose Mourinho simply cannot rely on just Harry Kane to bang in the goals throughout the season.

After all, the England international has had injury problems during the past couple of seasons, and he could also suffer a dip in form.

According to WhoScored, Willian Jose made 24 starts and 13 substitute appearances in La Liga for Sociedad last season, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist in the process.

Meanwhile, former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has shared his doubts on midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who joined Spurs from Southampton in the summer transfer window.

Bent said on talkSPORT (9:38am, September 14, 2020): “I said this when they signed him. Yes, he is a good player, but if Spurs are looking for ambition to get into that top four, top of the table, he is not the kind of signing that you make.

“Yeah, he is another body in the building, but will he take you to the place where you want to get to, which is the top four? I don’t think he will.”
