Goal have reported today that Pochettino has asked Paris Saint-Germain to cancel his contract.
Premier League club Tottenham and Spanish outfit Real Madrid are reported to be interested in the 49-year-old.
Spurs are on the hunt for a permanent manager to replace Jose Mourinho.
Madrid are looking for a manager to succeed Zinedine Zidane.
The Sun reported on Friday that Tottenham plan to hold talks with PSG on Monday, and that the 49-year-old himself is keen on a return to Spurs.
Pochettino was appointed the PSG manager only in January 2021 and could not guide the team to the Ligue 1 title or to Champions League success.
It remains to be seen what PSG do.
The French club may not want to keep a manager who wishes to be elsewhere, and that could make it easier for Spurs to rehire Pochettino.
The Argentine was very successful during his time at Spurs and guided the club to the final of the Champions League in 2019.
Under Pochettino, Spurs became regulars in the top four and went close to winning the Premier League title.
