Tottenham Hotspur kick-started their preparations for Project Restart on Friday.

Jose Mourinho’s side took on Norwich City in an unconventional friendly comprising of four 30-minute quarters.

Spurs, who host Manchester United in North London on Friday for their first Premier League game since March, lost 2-1 to the Canaries yesterday.

It was Tottenham who took the lead when Erik Lamela headed home a teasing Steven Bergwijn cross.

The Dutch winger, who joined the Lilywhites in January, was among the high-profile names to make an appearance, along with fit-again Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko.

Here’s how Tottenham fans reacted to Bergwijn’s performance on Twitter:

It’ll be really interesting to see how Kane plays alongside the Netherlands international from next week onward.

The Tottenham marksman was injured at the time of Bergwijn’s arrival and therefore the two haven’t shared the pitch together yet, but that’s what the supporters will be hoping to see against the Red Devils on Friday.
