It’s been a brilliant first month or so for Oliver Skipp on his loan away from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 20-year-old midfielder was loaned by Spurs to Norwich City in the Championship for the full 2020-21 campaign.
And on Friday it was revealed that Skipp had won the Canaries’ Player of the Month award for September.
But the youngster couldn’t inspire City to victory this afternoon as Daniel Farke’s side went down 1-0 to Derby County.
Still, it was a decent showing by the Tottenham product, who managed a pass success percentage of 89.7 – the third-highest of any outfielder on the pitch – and three tackles, with one block [WhoScored].
Here’s how fans of the North London club reacted to his performance on Twitter:
The Championship could be a great education for Skipp.
It’s such a difficult division to cut your teeth in physically and with a bit of luck, he’ll return to North London a much stronger, more complete player next May.
