Clinton N’Jie only had one full season in Tottenham Hotspur’s senior squad.

It looks like Clinton N’Jie might be enjoying his football again after leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer – and the Cameroon winger is clearly a lot more confident, going by his latest comments.
The 24-year-old left Tottenham on a permanent deal to join former club Marseille last summer, scoring seven goals in 22 Ligue 1 outings for the French side.
N’Jie, who managed only eight Premier League appearances at Spurs, has been speaking to the French media and has caused quite a stir with some comments about Kylian Mbappe.
The Paris Saint-Germain sensation lit up the World Cup for France in Russia this summer and played a huge role in Les Bleus winning their second world title.
In doing so, Mbappe consolidated his status as arguably the most promising young player on the planet – but N’Jie reckons that he is a level above the 19-year-old in some areas.
He told Foot Mercato: “He runs fast Mbappé. If I can beat him on a 100m? I think so.
“He has other qualities that we know with his immense talent, but there are other aspects in the game where I’m ahead.”
Suffice to say that Tottenham fans have seen the funny side of their former flop’s comments.
