Reported Tottenham target Anthony Martial struggled for Manchester United in his first start of the season.

Anthony Martial was a surprise team selection for Manchester United against Brighton yesterday and it was a game to forget.
The Red Devils lost 3-2 at the Amex, with Martial disappointing in his first game of the season in Alexis Sanchez’s absence.
United held onto Martial in the summer amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur [via Telegraph].
Goal reported United valued Martial at a staggering fee of £80 million.
Against Brighton he did not look like a quarter of that value, failing to make any sort of positive impact.

Martial appears to have lost his way at United, and could now be dropped again for the clash against Tottenham next weekend.
He scored a winner in the two team’s last meeting at Old Trafford, but did little to inspire confidence he can do the same again.
Tottenham fans were not impressed, joking he could be available on the cheap soon, or even thanking chairman Daniel Levy for not overpaying for the attacker.
Here is a look at how they reacted to his performance…
