Tottenham Hotspur fans reacted on Twitter to Sergio Reguilon’s performance for Spain on Tuesday night as his Spain side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League.
The 23-year-old provided Spurs fans with an injury scare when he picked up a knock against Portugal last week, but to the relief of those in North London, he has since recovered.
And whilst Luis Enrique’s side were being criticised as a whole for their performance in Kyiv, Tottenham’s summer signing was one of a few who received praise.
Reguilon came up against West Ham United winger Andriy Yarmolenko on the night, and whilst he got an assist, he wasn’t at fault for the goal that was scored by Viktor Tsyhankov.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is the one who has to answer a lot of questions because he was way off his line when Ukraine netted the only goal of the game late on.
Nonetheless, Reguilon will now return to North London where he could come up against Yarmolenko again, but a lot depends on whether he starts for West Ham on Sunday.

That weekend encounter could also see a certain Gareth Bale make his second debut for the club as this new-look Jose Mourinho side begins to take shape.
