Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left pretty frustrated with Jose Mourinho of late – and they won’t have felt much better after last night.
Spurs were poor at Newcastle United on Sunday, and Mourinho hasn’t yet escaped the scrutiny from crashing out of the Europa League to Dinamo Zagreb having thrown away a 2-0 lead.
Some want Mourinho gone this summer, and seeing Mauricio Pochettino pick up a huge result in the Champions League last night will again leave some wondering whether Daniel Levy made a big mistake.
Pochettino took his Paris Saint-Germain side away to Bayern Munich and claimed a 3-2 win, with Kylian Mbappe scoring twice in a huge victory at the Allianz Arena.
After the game, Mbappe highlighted that Pochettino had given him a couple of key instructions – to close off passing lanes to Joshua Kimmich and to run in behind to expose the Bayern defence.
That tactical approach worked a treat as PSG claimed a huge away win, and Tottenham fans took to Twitter to both hail Pochettino and highlight Mourinho’s inadequacy.

Some branded the victory a ‘Poch masterclass’, praising him for how he hatched a gameplan to beat Bayern and edge towards the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Others believe the difference between Pochettino and Mourinho is now clear for all to see, believing that Mourinho could learn a thing or two from Pochettino about how to really set up a pressing side.
