Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are questioning a report regarding Daniel Levy.
According to The Daily Star, Spurs want to offload Erik Lamela to sign Chelsea winger Willian on a free contract.
That isn’t the baffling part, according to Tottenham fans.
But the report adds that chairman Daniel Levy hopes to receive a £20 million fee for the Argentine attacker, who joined the North Londoners back in 2013.
Even before this global health crisis, picking up £20 million for Lamela might have been a tall order, but it definitely is now as many elite clubs around Europe struggle financially.
The 28-year-old attacker has only managed 16 goals and 23 assists in 146 Premier League appearances, and has also missed 97 games for the Lilywhites across all competitions due to injury [Transfermarkt].
Here’s how Tottenham fans reacted to Levy’s desire to get a £20 million fee for him.
